We’re taking you behind the scenes of our first ALWAYS LUCKY drop, the Clover Collection. This is that story. 

When we sat down to think about how we wanted to approach this first drop, we wanted to make something that reminded us to say yes before we felt ready.

For us, ALWAYS LUCKY was about putting the work in and trusting that our luck is earned. The clover collection is a reminder of this commitment we’ve made to ourselves. 

Why the Clover?

When we were thinking about how we wanted the brand to look, we kept coming back to one symbol.

The clover. 

It’s recognisable, it symbolises luck, and it’s subtle but still carries weight. 

We designed the collection around this, figuring out dimensions, gathering inspiration, sketching ideas, and orientations.

Slowly, the collection started coming together. 

The Middle is Messy

Our first samples weren’t perfect at all.

The sizes were wrong. The finishes weren’t clean enough. The oxidised detail didn’t read how we imagined. The signet needed to feel stronger. Heavier.

We changed suppliers. We got feedback and adjusted the designs. We refined the polish up to 1000 grit. We obsessed over the weight of it in your hand.

It took way longer than we thought. Over 4 months of work getting it exactly how we wanted it.

If this was going to be our first collection ever, it had to feel right.

What We Made

The Sterling Clover Collection is a limited drop of 40 rings.

Solid sterling silver. Casted in Cape Town and polished by hand in Hout Bay. A collection of 4 refined rings with subtle oxidised detailing. The Always Lucky logo is engraved onto the inside of each ring.

We’re releasing four variations across multiple sizes, each ring is different in feel, but all centered around the same idea.

The Drop

The first piece of something bigger.

If you’ve been following since Cedarberg, since the idea of saying yes to things before they make sense. This is the physical version of that decision.

We’re proud of it.
